A new opportunity has become available for a Test Lead to be based within Barclays Head Office team. The primary function of this role is to work as a Manual tester in the Glasgow HO Technology team whilst working closely with the technical lead to actively contribute to application design and deliver requirements raised by HO business.. HO technology team is distributed across London, Glasgow and Pune. Team is currently working on a number of projects; many are Bank-wide initiatives that involve designing & building new components and systems as well as maintaining and enhancing the existing ones
What will you be doing?
Rapidly learn applications in the Head Office technology environment
Come up with effort estimates for assigned work
Write manual test cases and code for automated test cases test execution
Collaborate with developers to analyse defects, verify behaviour, and resolve issues
Apply design & system architecture skills to ensure continual increase in performance and stability of the core system
Produce documented & tested software for delivery to production
Participate in functional test case reviews
Follow Agile development processes
What we’re looking for:
· Strong experience manual functional testing of web applications
· Creating of test scripts and execution plans
· Exposure or understanding to Automation testing
· Understanding of Java , J2EE, jQuery, HTML, Angular JS.
· Proficiency with RDBMS platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, MariaDB, Oracle, PostgreSQL
Skills that will help you in the role:
Experience of low-code BPM platforms
Experience with test-driven development processes using tools such as JUnit, NUnit, MSTest, Moq, jMock, etc
Where will you be working?
This role will be based in our Aurora house Glasgow office; a stones throw away from Glasgow Central Train Station and the heart of Glasgow.
