Derbyshire Fire and Rescue have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Accountant to join their growing team in Ripley. Job Title: Trainee Accountant Location: Headquarters, Ripley Salary: £24,799 - £33,799 per annum (Career Progression Criteria Applies) Hours: 37 Hours per week (Applications accepted for job share at hours per role) Trainee Accountant - You: Do you have excellent communication skills, the ability to work on your own initiative and are able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and non-financial managers? Do you fancy the opportunity to work for an emergency blue light service at our newly built Joint Headquarters with the Police at Ripley? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, competent individual to join our team. This is an interesting and demanding role which benefits from career development through to Qualified Accountant stage. It is open to applicants holding entry to a CIMA / CIPFA course through to a Qualified Accountant holding full Membership. Appointment to grade / starting salary will be determined accordingly in line with the Career Grading Criteria. Study support will be provided. Trainee Accountant - The Role: DFRS is keen to enhance its already substantial partnership and collaborative working, with, for example, Derbyshire Constabulary, East Midlands Ambulance Service, billing authorities and other Fire and Rescue Services. The successful candidate will be involved with the costing of collaborative projects to inform strategic decision making. There may be a requirement for some travel for which a pool car will be provided. Trainee Accountant - General Information: The normal working week is 37 hours however you may occasionally need to work beyond normal office hours.
