Grade 7 to 9, £21,589 to £29,828 per annum


Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent Flexible


We are looking to recruit a key member of the Technical Finance Team. The role will work closely with the Pension Fund & Treasury Management Accountant to provide the council’s Treasury Management and Pension Fund accounting services. This is a developmental role and it is envisaged that the successful candidate will progress through the grades.


This is an excellent opportunity to play a significant role in maintaining the Council’s operational cashflow and in assuring the continued high standards of accounting and reporting for the Isle of Wight Council Pension Fund.


The successful candidate will have been educated to A Level standard and will have commenced study for AAT Level 3, as a minimum.


You will be a team player, who can quickly build good relationships within the team, with other officers, and external partners, and will thrive on working collaboratively to achieve outcomes for the Council. A flexible approach and ability to adapt to changing priorities is essential, as is the ability to work to deadlines.
