Description

Collins Aerospace, a unit of United Technologies, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defence industry. Created in 2018 by bringing together UTC Aerospace Systems and Rockwell Collins, Collins Aerospace has the capabilities, comprehensive portfolio and expertise to solve customers' toughest challenges and to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving global market.

At the Plymouth location we design and manufacture products for control, navigation and guidance for surface and air applications in the global aerospace and defence markets. Our world leading products include the innovative MEMS based IMUs and the digital terrain reference navigation system, TERPROM®. Our growth plan includes development and extension of our current technologies into civil aircraft applications.

This position is to join our small HR team to co-ordinate training across the site, including maintaining an up to date site wide training plan, capturing training needs identified in the business and organising courses and attendance. In addition you will co-ordinate our Apprentice Training Programme and will oversee the Apprentices on a day to day basis. You will also co-ordinate our STEM schools work experience programme, and administrate company wide programmes, such as the Employee Scholar Programme and our Learning Management System.

In addition you will be required to provide general administrative support to the Human Resources team, producing reports, monitoring and tracking progress on key processes, and supporting our Autotime time and attendance system.

As part of the site HR team you will also be supporting our Wellness and Wellbeing programmes, recognition events and other site wide activities on an ad hoc basis.

Requirements:

This is an ideal position for someone with a background in HR administration wishing to further their career in HR as a generalist. Ideally the successful candidate will hold, or be studying towards, a CIPD Level 3 qualification. Previous experience with apprenticeship programmes would be beneficial, as well as co-ordination of training.
