The opportunity

The Tax & Law Transformation programme is focussed on developing our business and our people to ensure that we are set up for success in the future.

We have appointed a Transformation Leader (Matt Newnes) and a Transformation Programme Director (Tina Rotherham-Winqvist) and now we are building out a team beyond that to drive Transformation outcomes.

This role is a
12 month
opportunity for an experienced transformation programme manager to support the Tax & Law Transformation as the lead of the Transformation Operations workstream.

Your key responsibilities

The Transformation Operations Lead will work with the Programme Director to
oversee Transformation Operations, including:

Successfully lead the development of the transformation charter and scope, and ensure delivery of the portfolio of work to schedule, budget and scope
Develop objectives, phasing and content of the transformation to deliver on the business case benefits, budget and timescales
Report on programme status and support in maintaining programme schedules
Determine, manage and mitigate programme risks
Establish and manage the programme governance processes & bodies
Ensure that quality program/project standards are met through the effective implementation or use of approved processes, methodologies and deliverables
Coordinate with and track interdependent programs underway in other parts of Tax & Law
Support in resolving obstacles to delivering the programme’s outcomes and benefits

To establish the role quickly, the Transformation Operations Lead should

Be regarded as highly credible within appropriate areas of the organisation

Deal well with ambiguity and uncertainty as the details of the programme and its implementation will emerge over time
Experience of managing complex transformation programs/projects with personal accountability for delivering to time and cost for large, complex programs/projects typically more than $5m in value and 18 months in duration
Mastery of program/project management methodology, processes and standards
Management skills to manage one or more large, complex programs/projects simultaneously
Track record of customer focus, based on openness, trust, and delivering on promises
Excellent knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures

Strong team working skills across matrixed teams

Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills

To qualify for the role you must have

Corporate environment or in delivery of large scale organizational transformation
Program/project management
Ideally, you’ll also have

Project management skills, plan and prioritize work, meet deadlines, monitor own budget
