The purpose of the Vendor Manager role is to serve as the primary interface for Solutions vendor relationships; strengthening the strategic relationships and ensuring strategic alignment.
The Vendor Manager is responsible for ensuring service levels are consistently achieved and that continuous improvements and innovation are delivered by Solutions vendors, creating a competent vendor eco system capable of supporting Experian’s growth ambitions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Lead and pro-actively manage multiple selected third party vendors who provide critical resource that support the services delivered to internal and external customers
Jointly deliver a strategic road map for Vendor Management and relevant vendor partnerships, to deliver cost savings and added value to Solutions
Establish regular governance meetings with vendors in line with the defined governance framework
Focus on building relationships with vendors, to drive partnership. Engage key stakeholders in vendor relationships and act as the point of escalation where necessary
Manage and report on vendor performance to SLA’s and quality of service, drawing out themes/trends and identifying opportunities for improvements
Facilitate the operational ramp up/ramp down of vendor resources, applying lean processes to deliver acceptable lead times
Drive continuous improvement & innovation with vendors, tracking benefits realisation
Manage and track vendor spend, investments and volume rebates
Raising purchase orders and providing invoice approvals for vendor spend
Identify opportunities to reduce vendor spend and increase vendor quality and efficiency
Regularly evaluate and assess vendor relationships and contracts, based on ongoing needs, to ensure value, quality and innovation
Revisit and re-negotiate service levels, discounts and delivered services as required in conjunction with Third Party Management & Sourcing teams

What are we looking for?

Ideally, we are looking for candidates with the following attributes: 

Proven Vendor Management experience in IT domain
Detail orientated with good analytical and organisational skills and financial acumen
Ability to interface, influence, communicate at present with all levels 
Strong relationship management & collaboration skills
Is delivery oriented, self-managing, goal oriented and works well in matrix teams
Demonstrates ability to mediate conflict / issue resolution with ability to identify alternative solutions
Experience of leading vendor negotiations
Experience of driving quality & productivity improvements with vendors
Experience of working with multi-national teams

It woud be a bonus if you had:
CIPS qualified or willingness to invest personal time to qualify
Vendor management experience in regulated, financial services industry
Project Management experience 
Experience of taking operational lead in sourcing activities such as contract renewals & selection of new vendors
Experience of working with and contracting for agile deliveries
Good understanding of technical landscapes and requirements for vendor roles & skills to operate within this landscape
Experience in the application of risk management practices and processes with third parties
