Visual Merchandiser

About the role

We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual looking to join the

Marketing team in a brand new role. The Visual Merchandiser will plan major seasonal events

throughout the stores, by overseeing merchandising, styling and graphics by work closely with Head

of Marketing, Store Management Teams, Brand Directors, Concession Partners and the CEO to

create design themes and plans, in-store displays, signage and pricing concepts.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

- Visually merchandise key areas of Fashion and Home departments within the stores
- Regularly walking the floor to review layouts and spot opportunities
- Conducting research on current and future trends in design and lifestyle, and associated

target market features

- Liaising and meeting with business, sales manager and retail managers to discuss sales


- Maintaining a budget and negotiating with suppliers of visual materials
- Using artistic skills or computer-aided designs (CAD) packages, such as AutoCAD, Mockshop

or Adobe Creative Suite, to create visual plans

- Creating VM packs to communicate visual guidelines, including layout principles, visual

designs and signage

About you

Our Visual Merchandiser will be organised, hands on, will be in your element in a fast-paced retail

environment. Skills and experience required are:

- A talent and passion for design, colour and style
- Creative flair and imagination
- Strong interest in current and future fashion and home design trends
- Visual/Spatial awareness and manual dexterity
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Must have an understanding of how a brand concession works within fashion retail
- Competent in using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photo Shop and Windows beneficial
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
