Job Title: SWS Full Stack Developer
The TPE Sales IT Team is a group of approximately 25 developers located globally in New York, London, and Pune. The team is responsible for supporting and developing the Sales Workstation (SWS) trade capture system.
Sales Workstation is a Sales Trade Entry Application which supports Agency, Corporate, Governments, High Yield, High Grade Credit, Mortgage, Municipal Bonds, CP and CDS businesses. This application provides Quoting, Order Management, Trade Capture, Trade Control and Sales booking functions across multiple desks.
What will you be doing?
This is a senior full stack developer role focused primarily on building front to back end design of software applications. The role will require you to architect, design, develop and maintain the user-facing side of Sales Workstation primarily focused on Angular 5 technology, core Java and multi- threaded environment.
You will have a good understanding of what is going on between the front and back end interfaces and possess the variety of software skills needed to work on both. You must have a strong desire to learn a multitude of technologies and programming languages with a can-do attitude to work in a fast-paced, collaborative office environments alongside other engineers and developers.
Your responsibilities will include;
Manage the end-to-end life cycle of the production and delivery of software applications
Work collaboratively with a global team of developers, project managers, and business analysts
Progress changes through the full software development life cycle, from design to production release
Meet with end users to discuss priorities and detail requirements
Work with production support teams to quickly and effectively respond to user issues
What we’re looking for:
Strong core Java and multi-threading knowledge
Experience as a software developer/designer/architect as part of a large team, ideally within a global environment
Strong skills in object oriented design and development, Relational database and SQL
Experience working on Unix/Linux and with front end web technology
Skills that will help you in the role:
Knowledge of Fixed Income products, the financial markets, and trade flows
Experience working with high-performance messaging/middleware technologies (e.g. Solace, MQ)
Familiarity with DVCS (Git), Atlassian Toolset (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket) and CI (TeamCity)
HTML5/Angular or C#/DotNet
Where will you be working?
The role will be based in 5 North Colonnade of Canary Wharf, the hub of the Front Office trading team
The location boasts with easy access to DLR and Underground Tube links as well as a shopping mall with a variety of restaurants
