As a Content Designer within the fast-paced digital improvement team, you will be responsible for creating, updating and reviewing content for the website, taking complex language and processes and making them simple to understand.

Although the role may be tasked with creating content for any service, there will be a particular focus on the planning web pages (Development Management, Building Control, Planning Policy and Planning Enforcement). These services are currently part of our corporate transformation programme and we are looking for someone who can create new content to accompany our range of new digital processes. As such, the pages should be focused around end-to-end customer journeys, including:

Householders wishing to do some building work on their home
Residents/others wishing to comment on a current planning application
Developers/agents seeking to get planning approval for a development
Residents wishing to report a planning breach
Customers wishing to appeal a planning decision
Those interested in the future development and who might wish to be updated/consulted on plans

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Relevant practical experience
