I am a compensation analyst on a 4 person comp department. I handle manager compensation including compensation decisions for new hires, transfers, promotions for 100 stores, as well as quarterly manager bonus calculations as well as an annual program for regional managers. I submit data for surveys, perform job analysis and market pricing. I write and run reports regularly from our HRIS system, including for projects like analysis for the CEO on wage growth. I, manage PTO plans including ensuring compliance with state and local updates, I also mentor and train our Compensation Administrator.
May 2012 - January 2015
I was a compensation analyst for a Coiled Tubing company in Houston, brought on originally for a project converting roughly 300 employees from salary pay to hourly pay when merging with a company who was paying nonexempt employees on a salary basis. I was in charge of calculating new rates, as well as communicating to the affected employees (in person) and providing customer service to employees through the transition. I also created a salary structure, created job descriptions and calculated bonuses for entire company, including senior leadership. I also served as a backup to HR generalist and the Benefits specialist.
