What You’ll Do
The Sales Specialist role is responsible for driving sales of Cisco's Collaboration solutions in the Public Sector Space. Your focus in this position is to uncover business benefits for a customer by showcasing Cisco solutions to solve business problems and transform the way Public Sector Customers teach, support and communicate with their constants. You are creative and focusing on new ways to impact pipeline by new ways of reaching customers, such as state wide associations, school organizations, and consulting firms.

You will be working with a team of incredibly passionate and collaborative Public Sector sales teams who transform how our customers Protect, Serve and Educate the citizens of the United States. We lead our customers by focusing on their needs, by owning their problems, by building relationships, by simplifying technology, and by delivering profound impact on their mission in the U.S. and across the globe.
Who You Are
You are a motivate individual with a background in IP telephony, Teams Spaces, Meetings, and Video sales in Cisco's Unified Communications portfolio and/or competitive equivalent. You have experience selling to public sector accounts and understand how to approach executives to drive understanding and preference to Cisco's solutions. You will also be able to strategically manage relationships with the Account Managers and Regional Managers they support along with engineering counterparts to meet priorities for the respective regions.
There will be travel required in the territory stated. We will greatly promote the appropriate use of Webex and Video End points, to allow the virtualization of all resources on this team.
Our Minimum Requirements for the role
Required Skills:
You have a strong IoT background managing large, complex, technology sales requiring C-level executive support
You have carried a quota and consistently met/ exceeded your forecast
You are comfortable speaking in front of large audiences (100+) which will include a mix of technologists, thought leaders, and industry professionals.
You have experience in selling industrial networking, wireless, cloud, analytics, and video surveillance
You have experience working in an overlay sales role, or are open to it
You have experience selling through channel partners
You have cross industry experience - in particular Public Sector, Education, Utilities, Transportation, Manufacturing, Energy/ Oil & Gas, Smart Cities, and/ or Healthcare expertise
You are efficient selling remotely or in-persona and traveling up to 50% of the time
Desired Skills:
IoT Expert who has worked for 5+ years selling IoT hardware or platforms
Direct sales/account management experience at Cisco, or one of our partners or competitors
Strong working knowledge of the industrial networking or physical security competition
You have worked at both start-ups and large enterprise organizations
