Job summary

The Red Hat People (HR) team is looking for an HR Intern to join us in Mexico City, Mexico. In this role, you will assist with the development, implementation, and administration of HR policies and programs for Mexico in close collaboration with the global functional teams and the HR team business partners to ensure market adequacy, accuracy, and alignment to global guidelines.
Primary job responsibilities

Cover daily HR administrative activities, including payroll support and processing of HR paperwork for associates
Coordinate the benefits enrollment for new hires and benefits requests for current associates with the benefits vendors
Control training operations
Prepare invoices and run reports in order to track time-sensitive employee information
Prepare and deliver employment letters, visa letters, certificates, etc.
Track vacation, marriage, illness, maternity, and paternity leaves of absence
Handle New Hire Orientation logistics, secure speakers, contact new hires, assist with travel arrangements, supplies, etc.
Control files of Red Hat’s associates within our payroll vendor (TMF)
Coordinate logistics for internal and all-hands meetings, events, etc.
Required skills

Working toward a degree in business administration or HR with an anticipated graduation no earlier than December 2020
Results-oriented with solid written and verbal communications skills
Knowledge of basic HR principles and concepts
Good interpersonal and presentation skills
Good computer skills, including spreadsheets and presentations
Advanced level of English
