Contract Type: Fixed Term to 31 July 2020

This role in the Academic Support Office’s Learning Enhancement Team arises from a collaboration with the University’s Management School to enhance academic skills, transition and success within postgraduate programmes. You will have the opportunity to develop University services with a large international department, working with programme and module leaders to embed academic skills support within their programmes, developing and delivering academic skills workshops, and establishing and maintaining supportive student learning communities, all as part of a creative, dynamic team.

You will have a qualification relating to teaching practice (or equivalent recognition), experience of teaching students from a range of backgrounds and levels, and experience of supporting students with academic writing and speaking skills and transition to higher study. You will be a collaborative and supportive team member with knowledge of the national HE teaching and learning agenda and of current research in HE pedagogy, a proactive and positive approach, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The post is available fixed-term to 31 July 2020. The salary will be on the Grade 6 scale.
