Support a department within a company in the Non-Profit industry as an Accounting Clerk through this employment opportunity offered at Accountemps. The Accounting Clerk obligations will consist of matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). What you get to do every single day


- Aid Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing


- Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects


- Assist Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt


- Organize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes


- Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a number of sources


- Harmonize discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required


- Circulate financial information to journals and ledgers

Requeriments
- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred


- Candidates with Spreadsheet and ERP system experience will be prioritized


- 1+ years of relevant experience


- Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)


- Microsoft Excel experience desired


- Proven knowledge of Payments Reconciliation


- Daily Reconciliation experience


- Credit Card Reconciliation experience highly desired


- Deep understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)


- Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required


- Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
