The Accounts Payable Specialist position is an integral part of the accounting team with responsibilities for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, correct coding and completeness of the accounts payable payments. In this position you will perform a variety of routine and non-routine accounting functions in accordance with established procedures in the accounts payable function. 
 
Primary Responsibilities:  
Inputs invoices into the accounting financial system
As assigned, reconciles and documents vendor accounts which include interacting with the vendor representation
Coordinates new vendor onboarding with multiple departments
Researches and trouble shoots Accounts Payable questions or issues
Cross-trains on all key responsibilities across accounts payable functions
Adhere to Accounts Payable procedures and policies
Performs all other related duties as assigned
Highly organized and multi-task oriented person who can work independently
Ability to communicate with business contacts and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner even in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Ability to pay close attention to detail

Required Qualifications:  
High School diploma or GED equivalent
1+ years of work experience
Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
Skill in data entry 10-key by touch
Preferred Qualifications: 
Healthcare finance experience
Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Working knowledge of MS Access
Experience in Account Reconciliations
