Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) seeks to fill the position of Adjunct Faculty - College Success Skills is located in the Division of Innovative Learning and Academic Support. This is a part-time position, and is open for recruitment.

Dean of Innovative Learning and Academic Support

COMPENSATION:
Salary: $2,295 per credit course taught

Estimated Hours per Week: Teaching = 3 / Prep varies = 5 - 10 hours

Dates/Times - Day and night classes; various times available

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:


- Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Teaching experience in a college setting.
- Experience in an academic success setting (i.e. academic learning center, tutoring center, on-boarding center, supplemental instruction program) at a college or university can be substituted for the teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in curriculum and instruction, instructional design, organization leadership, counseling, or educational psychology.


Job Concepts
Teach College Success Skills 1023 course; includes providing instruction using active learning experiences, engaging students with the material, and utilizing assessments to measure learning. This course is designed to help students understand what is expected in order to succeed at college. It also provides students with career options and soft-skills including critical thinking, communication, financial and tech literacy, research methods, and health.
