Description

Walnut Creek transportation non profit is in need of an administrative assistant to support a small office of three. Duties will include:


•Composing correspondence as needed

•Answer phones with a calm, professional manner

•Attend offsite events (local) and have effective communication skills with individuals

•Prepare and process mail

•Order office supplies

•Make presentations with PowerPoint at bi-monthly new hire orientations

•Record and reconcile public transportation income and expenses using QuickBooks

•Process monthly child care checks, letters and yearly verifications

•Prepare transportation handouts for bi-monthly new hire orientations

•Track carpool information including application approvals, monthly gas card ordering, reconciling, quarterly verifications

•Approve and process BART and bus applications


Must enjoy heavy interaction with clients and customers via telephone and in person. Ideal candidate will be outgoing and friendly and be okay occasionally speaking in front of a group.

Requeriments
- Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems


- At least 1 year of Administrative Assistant experience preferred


- Ability to use the internet for research


- Customer service experience


- Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
