DescriptionThe Department Administrative Specialist is to assist the department chairperson by overseeing,implementing and following through on a number of assigned tasks. Assuming the primary responsibility for planning and implementing specific projects. They are responsible for all administrative tasks associated with scheduling undergraduate lectures/laboratories each semesteras well as graduate course offerings at the Main and Ambler Campus. Prepare for the Chairperson all faculty teaching schedules each semester, review master schedule, and complete all section updates and course inventoryforms. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:At least two years directly related experience dealing with students and faculty. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills & Abilities:* Proven track record of high level customer service and organizational skills* Proven track record of working with complex systems and databases* Ability to be detailed oriented and provide accurate and timely information* Ability to seek input and troubleshoot information* Ability to work with diverse stakeholders* Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and inwriting)* Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint.* Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.* Ability to be flexible and adaptable* Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities
PREFERRED:*Bachelor’s degree
