The Advisory Testing team
works with some of the world’s best-known
large domestic and global financial institutions, broker-dealers, foreign banking organizations, asset management firms and insurance companies who look to us to assist them with IT Quality Transformation & Application Test Delivery challenges.
Description:
Performance Engineer is responsible for providing performance architecture, diagnostics, testing, monitoring and capacity planning for application integration and implementation projects. Common tasks would include managing a team of engineers/testers, developing overall strategy and delivery of services, working with clients and stakeholders to create scenarios, non-functional requirements (NFRs), delivering results, analysis and actionable information to diagnose and resolve performance and scalability issues.
Must have skills:
Tools: LoadRunner, Performance Center or StormRunner (including VuGen)
JMeter optional
Familiar with performance/load testing execution strategies
Understanding of system architecture and infrastructure (DB servers, app servers, APIs/integrations, etc)
Understanding of application technology stacks and common coding languages (look at Java or C++ code and identify possible performance issues/bottlenecks)
Understand performance monitoring concepts (including APM, able to list common performance metrics other than CPU and memory)
Effectively lead team of technical resources
Able to clearly and effectively communicate with business (non-technical) stakeholders
Nice to have:
Development background
IT security background
Experience in financial services
