Customer-centric planning, innovative marketing, and an exceptional customer experience are supported by a cadre of talented people.

Over the past 5 years, American Airlines has taken delivery of over 500 new aircraft and has invested billions of dollars in new aircraft, technology, infrastructure and most importantly, in our employees. American Airlines’ Network Planning team is at the center of the strategic direction and the everyday functioning of the world’s largest airline. We decide where we fly, how often and on what aircraft, with the goal of providing the most convenient and connected network for our customers. We work with teams across the company to create reliable and desirable schedules that provide maximum value to all stakeholders while generating sustainable long-term profitability. Network Planning is currently recruiting candidates who have a desire to be a part of a diverse, collaborative, high-performing and interactive team environment.

Global Planning team members manage the network outlook and capacity decisions for each hub and market, consistent with strategic goals that team members help to define and present to leadership. Analysts develop market-by-market plans to maximize profitability, forecast new routes and conduct ad-hoc analyses to drive long-term value for the network. Global Planners have a passion for strategic thinking, problem solving and continuous improvement. Planners are outstanding at discerning trends and deriving meaning from large volumes of data using advanced Excel skills, Tableau, SQL and other tools.
