Position Description:
Lenovo is venturing out into many new emerging businesses to position for
growth into the future. We are looking to hire a AR Customer Deployment
Technical Lead for our Commercial AR/VR project. Essentially, you’ll be
working at a startup within the larger Lenovo structure. This role will be
part of a large cross-functional team that includes hardware engineering,
software development, industrial/mechanical design, UX and global sales. The
project and role are critical to transforming Lenovo from a preferred hardware
supplier to a Solution-centric, innovation driven strategic partner.
What you will be doing:
•You will be Lenovo’s focal point for assisting large enterprise customers
design and development of device agnostic solutions leveraging Lenovo
•You will work closely with development and product owners to define APIs,
device platform compatibility testing and documentation of , and release
management of SDK. will work closely with other squads in AR System
Engineering and Cloud Services with a focus on component interaction,
performance optimization and integration.
•You will collaborate with the AR Apps, Systems, and Cloud team a platform for
developers to build apps.
Position Requirements:
Basic Requirements
•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline.
•5+ years' of experience in AR/Android/Mobile Apps development space
Preferred Requirements
•Experience as a technical lead on projects similar to AR project development
or mobile applications.
•Leadership experience using agile software development framework including
setting up and running sprints.
•Professional experience and comfort with C++.
•Experience developing with Vuforia SDK or equivalent AR SDK required.
•Experience developing Augmented Reality and/or Virtual Reality applications
on both Hololens and Android based hardware.
•Knowledge of Unity3D and/or other game engine platforms required.
•Experience in complete software development life cycle.
•General knowledge of hardware design, testing, and debugging.
•Good oral and written communication skills – ability to express ideas clearly
and logically.
•Good interpersonal skills, including ability to adapt and work effectively in
a variety of configurations - independently, as a member of a team, and in a
matrix-reporting environment.
•Ability to prioritize tasks and show personal initiative
•Excellent planning and organizational skills.
