Lenovo is venturing out into many new emerging businesses to position for
growth into the future. We are looking to hire an AR Apps Development Lead for
our Commercial AR/VR project. Essentially, you’ll be working at a startup
within the larger Lenovo structure. This role will be part of a large cross-
functional team that includes hardware engineering, software development,
industrial/mechanical design, UX and global sales. The project and role are
critical to transforming Lenovo from a preferred hardware supplier to a
Solution-centric, innovation driven strategic partner.
Lead of the core engineering team that is working on building enterprise-grade
applications on the latest pre-release and commercially available Augmented
and Virtual Reality devices.
You will lead development develop Augmented Reality software using Unity SDK
and Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and working on the Android operating
system and/or Linux Kernel programming, Device bring-up, BSP.
You’ll be joining a highly talented existing team of engineers and designers
and be challenged to build lasting, scalable solutions for Lenovo AR
solutions. You will ensure that the development processes and design standards
are followed, code quality, adherence to delivery schedule, and secured
•BS degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent
•10+ years’ experience in software development .
•5 + years’ experience in Mobile development (preferably Android).
•5+ years’ experience programming in C# and Java.
•2+ years’ experience working on the Android operating system and/or Linux
Kernel programming, Device bring-up, BSP.
•2+ years’ experience with Unity, Unreal or ARCore.
•Demonstrated success in delivering complex full-stack mobile applications
across native mobile and server-side components.
•Thorough working knowledge of software processes (development, configuration,
testing, and deployment).
•Able to comfortably manage multiple tasks, communicate status, escalate
issues and manage competing priorities.
•Experience working with a cross-geo and cross-functional teams.
•Advanced computer science or engineering degree
•Advanced skills level in coding in C# and Java.
•Understanding of performance tuning in Android/Linux .
•Experience developing and shipping AR apps and/or SDK custom built for AR.
