Assistant/Associate/Full Professor: Hematologic Malignancies

Natureof Work

The Anschutz Medical Campus of the University ofColorado Denver and the University of Colorado Cancer Center are recruitingAcademic Hematology/Oncologists for tenure eligible positions within theDepartment of Medicine and the Hematologic Malignancies/Blood and MarrowTransplant Program.

We are looking for a candidate who is interested indeveloping and leading clinical and academic efforts in hematologicmalignancies and blood and marrow transplantation. Clinical duties will includeattending on the Hematologic Malignancies/BMT inpatient ward 2-3 months peryear and staffing the outpatient clinic up to 3 half-days/week

In addition, the physicians will be expected to contributeto the academic mission of the department in terms of research, teaching andparticipation in programmatic and Departmental meeting and activities. Notethat the duties and responsibilities assigned to you may change dependent uponthe needs of the Department of Medicine and the Hematologic Malignancies/BMTProgram.

Examplesof Work Performed

- Serve as a staff physician within our Hematologic Malignancies program.
- Provide inpatientattending service for the Bone Marrow Transplantation/Hematologic Malignanciesprogram service.
- Participate inregularly scheduled meetings of the Bone Marrow Transplant Program includingthe pipeline conference, Hematologic Malignancies Tumor Board, Division GrandRounds, and monthly conferences held with The Children’s Hospital.

- MD or MD/PhD degree
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology
- Eligible for Colorado state medical licenses
- Experience in treatment of hematologic malignancies


- Clinical/Clinic Trials/Translational Research experience in hematologicmalignancies
- Experience in care of blood and marrow transplant patients
