The Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level (either tenure or clinical track) to serve as an Anatomic Pathologist. The successful applicant will also serve as an Associate Medical Examiner for the District 8 Medical Examiner Office serving multiple counties in northcentral Florida and the Department of Corrections.
The successful applicant will also be a full member of the University of Florida Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine, participating in the Anatomic Pathology Service at UF Health Shands Hospital, and contribute to medical student, resident and fellowship training in accredited programs in Pathology. The successful applicant will be appointed as an Associate Medical Examiner for the District 8 Medical Examiner Office. The state-of-the art office is located approximately 3 miles from the UF Health Shands Hospital. Approximately 700 death investigations are performed per year.
Applicants must have an M.D. or D.O. degree, be board certified or eligible in Anatomic Pathology and Forensic Pathology, and possess or be eligible for a state of Florida Medical License. Applicants should have recent practice experience in Forensic Pathology.
