Assistant Editor
Operations & Technology
The Assistant Editor (AE) will edit both long form and short form content for both on-air and digital platforms. Additionally, the AE will assist creative editors and producers as needed on projects to meet client deadlines. The AE will also edit using Avid and Premiere, plus After Effects knowledge with the skill set to complete basic graphics creation. The AE will ensure the accuracy and integrity of network specific content and all of its related components based on client’s requirements.

Job Duties
Unsupervised formatting and content versioning
Perform edits on Avid/FCP or Premiere for long form or short form content
Capture and import all necessary elements in proper format
Shot replacement on approved cuts when hi-res footage becomes available
Graphics support utilizing Adobe Photoshop/After Effects (snipes, lower thirds and end pages creation)
Create and send digital files for delivery to Producer/Editor and/or Client
Edit Billboards and Q-Segments 
Tag and Bag
Floating support/training position. (would backfill call outs or last minute request for editor needs)
Clip pulls as needed 
Work on creative projects with editors and/or writer/producers
Basic color correction utilizing Symphony, Adobe’s SpeedGrade & Blackmagic’s DaVinci Resolve

Basic Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in post-production and knowledge of editing and graphics a must
Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
Avid, Final Cut & Adobe Creative Suite experience required
Knowledgeable video formats
Familiar with digital file format and codecs
Knowledge of editing in a digital environment
Working knowledge of the Post Production ecosystem
