The Position

Lewis University invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Communications. The successful candidate will have expertise in Public Relations and Advertising. The Communication Department offers majors in Journalism, Public Relations/Advertising, Interactive Media, Radio and Television Broadcasting and Communication Studies. The department is responsible for the student newspaper, an online student newspaper, a student radio station, a student television station and a student promotional club. The department’s radio station was the first all-digital college station in the country and has won national, regional and statewide journalism awards.

Some Responsibilities Include:

- Teach 12 credit hours per semester in public relations and advertising coursework
- Serve as program director of the Public Relations/Advertising major
- Advise Public Relations/Advertising students
- Supervise student promotional club

Minimum Qualifications

A master’s degree in Public Relations, Advertising or a related field are is required.
