The Position

Lewis University’s department of Justice, Law & Public Safety Studies invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice. The primary responsibility of this position will include teaching core (Research Methods, for example) and elective courses in the Criminal Justice and/or Forensic Criminal Investigation degree programs.

- Teach 12 credit hours per semester
- Academic Advising
- Committee assignments
- Collaboration with colleagues in ongoing student learning outcomes
- General support of departmental initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in criminal justice, criminology or a closely related field with at least 10 years prior work experience in a criminal justice related field.

Preferred Qualifications

An earned doctorate in criminal justice, criminology, or a closely related discipline is preferred (ABD will be accepted).
