Job Description

Associate Director (AD)/Director HCV Marketing:  Direct to Consumer/Patient Team


Responsibilities


- Develops and implements key patient marketing strategies, messaging, and tactics for the US HCV Direct-to-Consumer/Direct-to-Patient (DTC/P) efforts
- Works collaboratively within DTC/P team as well as with cross functional partners to identify synergies, solve key business problems and apply optimizations to the overall efforts
- Manages multi-channel media strategy, planning and execution
- Develops and delivers informative patient-friendly education and other direct-to-patient initiatives based on customer needs
- Lead or serve as a key project team member on cross-functional projects, often with high visibility to senior management within the organization
- Ensures operational excellence and compliant activation of all key deliverables
- Effectively manages multiple agency partners to produce deliverables within timelines and budgets
- Develop and deliver presentations to a range of internal (executives, US leadership team, sales, cross functional colleagues., etc.) and external audiences
- Gains approval for marketing materials through internal promotional review process and adheres to established SOPs ensuring marketing activities are in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements


Knowledge


- Proven, high performing strategic marketer with the ability to align on a vision and collaborate across diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrates command of traditional and non-traditional marketing channels including print, digital, POC, and broadcast
- Demonstrates a high degree of digital knowledge and expertise
- Ability to translate market research/data into key insights/communication strategies
- Recognized expertise in implementing a pharmaceutical brand and communication planning, patient targeting and activation
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to lead, interact with focus, and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of disciplines
- Excellent communications skills with an ability to efficiently and productively communicate both orally and in writing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong project management and planning skills; ability to prioritize and set clear objectives
- Strong understanding of financial management and expense budget planning and tracking
- Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and impact on development of marketing materials


Specific Education and Experience Requirements


- 8+ years of relevant experience
- A minimum of 3-5 years in product marketing or advertising focused on consumers or patients
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related fields required
- Familiarity with marketing fundamentals, strategy, sales and commercial policies and practices
- Previous experience in marketing, market research and/or communications agency experience desired
- Preferred experience with managing individual direct reports as well as cross-functional teams
- Must be fluent in conversational and written English
- Therapeutic Area knowledge preferred
