What you’ll be doing...
The Federal Pricing team is in need of a leader who can manage the Federal contract pricing, including, but not limited to contract pricing strategy and execution, team functional operations, federal bid responses, complex and high-volume quoting in support of federal sales and revenue, to include the contract modifications function. As a senior member of the Verizon Federal team, this employee will lead pricing and contract modification management operations in support of the comprehensive portfolio of Verizon federal contracts – to include EIS, Schedule 70, Connections II, WITS 3, Networx Universal, and Networx Enterprise. Leading a team of pricing managers and modification managers, this role works in close alignment with sales, PCM, PMO, and contracts/legal teams to maintain pricing on all contracts, to deliver compliant and winning responses to federal bids, understand and maintain competitive intelligence and analysis, and to deliver contractually compliant quotes to Verizon federal customers. In addition, the candidate will build effective price controls, ensure contract pricing aligns with the company’s federal business, and strategize with business teams to determine the best methodology and execution for pricing new products and service on federal contracts.
This is a specialized position that requires a unique combination of experience in federal contracting, pricing and modifications; a broad knowledge of Verizon’s federal contract portfolio; deep understanding of RFP and contract pricing compliance; demonstrated team leadership capability; a history of execution and delivery; and a demonstrated knowledge of internal Verizon governance and how to translate the internal prices into compliant government contract bid responses and contract modifications.
What we’re looking for...
Owns strategic planning and execution of pricing and modifications on complete portfolio of Verizon federal contract offerings across the full portfolio of Verizon federal contracts, including the Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) contract, Networx Universal and Enterprise contracts, WITS 3, Schedule 70, Connections II, and other contracts as required.
Objective to defend $850M of current annual Verizon business
Objective to grow to align with Federal sales growth objectives
Builds and maintains competitive pricing intelligence across all contracts and Verizon Federal products and services, to enable sound decision-making and price-to-win analysis
Directs and manages the people, processes, and pricing/ mod systems to achieve Verizon Federal revenue growth objectives; supervises the work assignments of employees
Recruits or sources, within determined budgets, top pricing and/or modification talent to align resources with the forecasted opportunities
Directs the pricing and contract modification process including policy, preparation, tools, and templates and oversees all pricing and modification activities and resources; leads the continuous improvement of all of the above activities.
Builds and maintains cost-effective, high-quality task order pricing response teams and development process including policy, preparation, content libraries, tools, and training requirements and oversees all task order proposal development activities and resources
Designs and implements quality validation methods and tools in support of pricing and/ or modification reviews
Requires demonstrated leadership and ability to build and maintain trusted relationships across key stakeholder teams
Conducts regular briefings to executive leadership
