Associate Medical Director Ophthalmology – remote work arrangements possible

The Clinical Development Medical Director Ophthalmology will provide medical leadership and expertise to ophthalmology clinical trials executed in US.
The Associate Medical Director Ophthalmology is responsible for executing the US Medical strategy for development and marketed products in the Ophthalmology Therapeutic Area. He/she will be responsible for the execution of important strategic initiatives including advisory boards, peer-reviewed publications, scientific congress presentations; training and development programs, eMAP/eMED review, and investigator-initiated trials. In addition, the Associate Medical Director will be responsible for executing initiatives associated with US Medical congress, professional society, and franchise-associated strategy. This individual will work in a highly matrixed environment and will ensures close and compliant collaboration with other functions including sales, marketing, legal, regulatory, communication, and others.

Position will be filled at level commensurate with experience.
Professional healthcare/scientific related degree (e.g. MD, DO, OD, PharmD, PhD) or NP/PA with significant clinical experience in the Ophthalmology field preferred
•3+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in medical affairs/development is preferred
•Firm working knowledge of GCP, scientific and clinical methodology, protocol design, project management and regulatory requirements
•Ophthalmology experience preferred, not mandatory
•Ophthalmology clinical trial research experience conducted in a pharmaceutical or equivalent environment
•Travel required (up to 50%)
