Associate Video Producer, CNBC + Acorns
TV Content & Production
CNBC is partnering with Acorns, the country’s fastest growing financial wellness system, on the importance of educating current and future investors.  We are building an editorial and production team to create actionable, relatable and uplifting personal finance and investing content which will inspire and empower everyday Americans to make informed financial decisions.
The AP will be writing and producing videos covering a wide range of personal finance stories. The ideal candidates are fast editors, and motivated and disciplined producers who have experience in a range of production disciplines.   Our AP will pitch and produce interviews and help other Acorns producers on shoots and edits.
Associate Producers should be able to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities will vary week by week and day by day.

Main responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:
Pitching, shooting, and editing short videos about personal finance for a broad consumer audience
Writing short scripts and working with producers.
Pitching, producing and editing original digital videos using existing CNBC broadcast footage, interviews, Getty video, animations, and original video
Crafting compelling and accurate headlines and descriptions for videos
Optimizing video clips for SEO, metadata tracking and various platform best practices.

• At least one year of experience working in a fast-paced digital or TV newsroom.
• Strong writing skills and editorial judgement.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere.
• Ability to work under tight deadline pressures.
Desired Characteristics
• Experience with other Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Photoshop. Knowledge of After Effects is a plus.
• Experience shooting with Canon 5D and C300 in field and studio settings are a plus.
