Assistant/Associate/Professor (Open Rank) - Hematology The University of ColoradoDenver l Anschutz Medical Campus seeks individuals with demonstrated commitmentto creating an inclusive learning and working environment. The Division ofHematology at the University of Colorado is seeking a board-certified orboard-eligible hematologist with an interest in adult General Hematology. The new faculty member would be joining anestablished group of six clinical hematologists who treat a broad array of hematologicdiseases and disorders under the umbrella of existing and growing programs inThrombosis, Bleeding Disorders, Sickle Cell Disease & Hemoglobinopathies,Myeloproliferative Neoplasms, and Anemias.
In addition to havingboth inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities in non-malignanthematology, the new faculty member would have access to abundant research andeducational opportunities in basic science, translational, and clinicalresearch in hematology. Opportunities for cross-divisional networking are alsoplentiful A few pertinent examples:
- We participate in acombined hematology/oncology fellowship program with Medical Oncology throughthe Department of Medicine.
- Our group is part ofthe Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center at the university, which has access tomultiple clinical resources, including on-site pharmacy and physical therapy,as well as a vast array of diagnostic tools & cutting-edge laboratorystudies.
- The Division ofHematology has its own very successful and highly efficient Clinical TrialsUnit that includes tissue banking, allowing for a robust program in drugdevelopment and other studies.
- Our adult program hasa close-working relationship with pediatric hematology, as both are situated ona state-of-the art campus that allows for collaborative clinical and researchprograms.
The Division is fully committed to the clinical and academicsuccess of the new faculty member, who would become part of a fantastic groupof academic clinicians establishing the University of Colorado as a center ofexcellence in hematology.

TheAnschutz Medical Campus (AMC) of the University of Colorado Denver is the premierbiomedical research institution in the Rocky Mountain region, with over $450million in extramural grant funding including the Clinical TranslationalScience Award. AMC research faculty distinctions include Nobel, National Medalof Science, National Academy of Sciences, and Howard Hughes Investigators.
The University of Colorado Cancer Center is one of only twoNCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the entire 8 state RockyMountain Region. Headquartered on theUniversity of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, the CU Cancer Center is aconsortium of three state universities and six institutions. Together, the morethan 440 members are working to ease the cancer burden through cancer care,research, education and prevention and control. QualificationsRequiredEducation/Experience/Skills (minimum qualifications):
- MD or MD/PhD degree
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology
- Eligible for Colorado state medical licensure
- Experience in treatment of General Hematology
