Barclays Bank Delaware seeks an AVP, Acquisition Risk Analysis Lead for its Wilmington, DE location.
Duties: Utilize comprehensive knowledge of quantitative research and analytical skills to perform quantitative statistical analysis, to explore opportunities that lead to better business intelligence and to support problem solving and translate data into relevant revenue driven business decisions. Develop, maintain, and improve business policies and statistical procedures. Work with Business partners to ensure project completion within agreed time frames and end-client satisfaction. Present findings to senior leadership and make recommendations for better business outcome and end-client satisfaction.
Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or closely related quantitative discipline followed 2 years of experience in the position offered or as a Risk/Quantitative Associate, or closely related occupation, in the credit card industry. In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in specified fields and 5 years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience in a position specified above. Full term of experience must include the following: Utilizing knowledge of credit card business and statistical modeling techniques to evaluate and develop strategies; Utilizing statistical techniques, including logistics and linear regression and segmentation (CHAID) analysis and optimization procedures, loss forecasting, to develop credit/risk underwriting and line assignment strategies for acquisition and portfolios management; Utilizing statistical analysis and SAS for data mining, manipulation, scoring and analysis; Utilizing SAS and SQL to retrieve and analyze internal and external data for advanced statistical analysis, business forecasting, performance reporting, and decision support; Performing analysis and reporting of actuals data and process for business/strategy development; Building statistical models to predict risk opportunities and reward analysis; and Utilizing advanced MS-Excel and Pivot Table and MS PowerPoint to summarize analysis and present results to senior management and leadership groups. 40 hrs/wk.
