Job Description:
For Bell Labs’s BR, Lab Apps & Experiences team we are looking for Full Stack, Mobile and Robotics Software Developer interns, both at graduate and undergraduate level. You will work within our small team of software developers to incubate seriously cool high impact software projects.
We are looking for people like us: you love to code, have the ability to create applications from a vision and always keep an eye on delivering high quality work. In addition, you communicate well, and can thrive in highly dynamic environment with fast changing goals and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, integrate and test software, in close cooperation with the mentor and other interns.
Write well-designed, testable code according to requirements and design
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
Be a member of a team executing the Agile Scrum Software Development Methodology
Collaborate with team members to create innovative ideas and rapidly develop proofs-of-concept and prototype solutions
Example Duties:
Develop and test applications for Android/iOS/Web
Develop and test containerized microservices backend applications in JavaScript/Node.js
Develop and test ground and aerial robot systems that operate autonomously or are teleoperated in a novel manner using wearable devices
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong software development capability; experience with JavaScript, Swift, Kotlin, Java or Python required. NodeJS (for Full Stack) and ROS (for Robotics) are a plus.
Education Requested: 
Must be pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Systems Engineering and Telecommunications from an accredited college/university.
Student Criteria:
Overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above.
Must be enrolled as a full-time student.
Work Authorization: 
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident preferred.  Will accept students on F-1 Visa dependent upon program requirements or may consider sponsoring short-term J1 Visa PhD students dependent upon program requirements.
