You're empowered to do your best by supporting Optum Operations Voice of the Customer initiatives as a member of Business InitiativesTeam. The Business Analysis Consultant will conduct and manage outcomes of various studies that include analyzing, reviewing, forecasting, trending, and presenting customer (consumer, client, provider) feedback for operational and business planning. You will support short and long term operational / strategic business activities - by developing, enhancing and maintaining customer feedback, associated metadata, and natural language processing (NLP) models. You will also develop and influence effective / strategic business improvements through research and analysis of feedback data and business processes. Positions in this function include those responsible for a variety of functions related to the general business operations across the company and its businesses.

Primary Responsibilities:
Create analytical deliverables using the Clarabridge NLP tool
Acquire, clean, enhance, and load data sources
Model data sources in Clarabridge to understand what customers are talking about, and how they feel about it (sentiment analysis)
Build visually - compelling dashboards to draw attention to key pain points, insights, and trending
Interpret data visually and narratively to help business partners direct their improvement efforts
Ensure deliverables are met within scope / timeframe / resource triple constraint
Ability to engage functional partners (Optum Health, Optum Rx, Optum Insight) to effectively deliver on each project
Solve complex problems / conceptual analysis and develop innovative solutions
Anticipate customer needs and proactively develops solutions
Develop innovative approaches to analyzing and interpreting data
Ability to gain acceptance, then implement flawlessly
Recognize gaps between current situation and desired outcome and utilize appropriate resources to obtain information, consider solutions and deliver the solution
Communicate / disseminate critical information to multiple audiences at all levels throughout the organization
Ability to analyze root cause of issue, problem solve and provide key recommendations for implementation process improvements
Work across a matrix environment to engage appropriate internal and external partners to assure successful execution

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint
1+ years experience in statistics
Data Base environment knowledge / experience  
2+ years experience in data analysis & interpretation
Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare experience
Agile / SCRUM - formal methodologies
Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
Ability to gain acceptance for ideas, plans, actions and then implement across organizational boundaries
Familiarity with Optum and Optum’s products & services
