Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of project management/process improvement experience within consulting.
2 years of experience with SQL/relational database querying.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in management consulting and/or within law departments or law firms.
Experience in project or process management.
Ability to analyze data and create succinct presentations tailored to the audience at hand. Demonstrated attention to detail with excellent time management and multitasking/prioritization abilities.
Proactive, motivated approach to recognizing needs, solving business challenges, anticipating issues and developing solutions.
Excellent business judgment, with the ability to think strategically.

Our Legal team needs more than attorneys to keep things moving. Our Legal Operations team is charged with improving and maintaining the Legal team's internal processes, systems and tools. Responsible for tracking objectives, coordinating financial planning and solving technology challenges, you are entrepreneurial, proactive and highly organized. You keep costs down, engage third-party vendors and make the Legal team's services better, faster and more efficient.
As a Business Analyst, you will help to facilitate the workings of Google's growing and dynamic Legal Department. With an eye for process improvement, you will identify, implement and maintain innovative processes and systems to improve the efficiency and quality of the Legal Department’s services. As part of this team, you'll fully immerse yourself in data collection, draw insight from analysis and then zoom out to develop compelling, synthesized recommendations. Reporting to the Legal Operations Manager, you will collaborate closely with the rest of the Legal Operations team and with our partners in IT, Finance and senior leadership teams.

Responsibilities
Define, launch and drive strategic and operational initiatives.
Develop work plans, gather and synthesize relevant data, lead analyses, develop final recommendations and implement solutions.
Identify, track and report on key operational and substantive metrics for the practice group that will better inform decision-making, including matter and work product analyses.
Manage development and tracking of team goals and provide project management support.
Provide guidance on technology and systems in order to improve team efficiency and effectiveness. Manage design, rollout and training for new systems.
