What you’ll be doing...
Verizon is investing in its network to improve the way we live, work, and communicate. Our network transformation will be critical for all of our future connectivity businesses, including new products such as IoT, 5G, and future smart cities. As part of this network transformation, you will help build one network engineered for growth for all lines of business.
Leading a team of budget and financial specialists for the Intelligent Edge Network who perform assignments of varied responsibility, scope and complexity.
Analyzing trends, costs, and preparing complex expense and capital budgets.
Conducting deep dive cost analysis, summarizing findings, preparing reports and making recommendations to senior management.
Preparing AFEs and tracking cost and programs.
Forecasting spending associated with a $250M capital program.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in Telecommunications Program/Project Management.
Experience with Network Implementation programs.
Even better if you have:
Five or more years of professional experience in the Telecommunication industry.
Four or more years of experience in Telecommunications Program/Project Management.
Extensive budget knowledge specific to network engineering and implementation, transmission electronics and fiber network infrastructure.
Broad range of skills within a professional discipline, enabling an ability to effectively perform complex assignments.
Familiarity with principles, theories, concepts and technologies as well as applied knowledge of established procedures, policies and practices.
Ability to understand complex business plans and budgets.
Two or more years of experience with Telecom fiber installation.
Extensive SAP experience.
General familiarity with Telecommunications terminology and general transmission implementation processes.
Knowledge of AFE and Shopping Cart creation.
Familiarity with telecommunications network, equipment and construction terminology.
Strong negotiation and communication experience with organizational stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
