Within WW M&O, the Sales BI Team is chartered with delivering consistent, reliable and accurate insights that enable GSMO to meet its goals. This involves close partnership across the commercial buisiness to define the standardized views, metrics and data needed and to ensure these are delivered in the right format to drive the intended improvements to our operations. This involves a deep understanding of the business processes and underlying information to ensure appropriate, high quality and effective solutions are built and adopted. Additionally, this team provides thought-leadership to mature Microsoft’s usage of BI as a key enabler to growth and productivity. We believe that powerful insights have a powerful impact on GSMO!
We are seeking a BI professional to insights across our solution areas (modern workplace, business applications, applications & infrastructure and data & AI) and across our commercial priorities (customer adds, consumption, compete, pipeline, annuity, etc.) to help drive and inform business strategy and operations. This role will act as a “single point of contact” for Sales BI delivery, focused on a core commercial priority and will design a strategy, roadmap and engagement model to help meet segment needs while maintaining alignment with standards and the “single version of the truth.” The Sales BI Lead will partner with Field Leaders, Commercial Leadership, Discipline and Priority Owners, ROB process owners and others to understand and align needs and then work both hands-on and in partnership with various teams to create actionable insights that address these needs.
This person must be adept at understanding business strategy, process and roles and creating actionable Business Intelligence deliverables that will drive the business forward. It is imperative that the candidate can manage teams, a BI portfolio of programs and build relationships across multiple teams that engage a diverse cross-section of resources, including analysts, business architects, corporate and field leaders, IT engineering and external vendors. This person will additionally partner across GSMO to help drive a single view of Enterprise sales operations data and to integrate other critical data to progress our mission of providing a “360 view” for our sellers and management. The Sales BI Lead will help drive simplification, standardization and adoption of corporate reporting solutions and help to evolve our corporate tools to enable the field. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a successful track record of cross sector, cross segment collaboration, at the exec level (GM and above), aligning standards and often resolving issues that span organizations. An ideal candidate will also be able and willing to directly deliver various BI solutions and should be comfortable working in Power BI and Excel.
