Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of experience supervising security operations.
Experience responding to emergencies and incidents.
Experience managing vendor programs.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience conducting investigations including criminal, human resources, and safety incidents
Experience in law enforcement/military/private sector security.
Proficiency with G Suite.
Proven track record in supervising security operations and security personnel and delivering high quality, customer-oriented security programs.
Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information while exercising excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy.
About the job
Reporting to a Campus Security Manager (CSM), you will help lead the physical security program for certain locations within Google's operations in the North Bay Area. This includes working with vendor partners, Facility Managers, Business Partners, schedulers, and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate security operations. You will partner with Google employees performing specific security objectives, and monitor the vendor partners performance. You will work with your manager to develop tactical plans for the protection of Google's personnel and facilities consistent with global initiatives deployed within the region’s budgets and priorities.
From keeping Googlers safe and secure to managing disruptive events, the ability to anticipate, deter, detect, and act are the pillars of Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team. As a member of GSRS you will help develop a culture where safety, security and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. You will help us continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Supervise security operations and respond to suspicious activity, disruptive incidents, support planned and unplanned operations, and support events and special activities as needed
Ensure the onsite security Specialists and Security Officers are abiding by the guidelines set forth by Google
Report any deficiencies to Campus Security Manager
Attend meetings regarding security changes, issues, and events
Prepare detailed reports when needed
