The Capacity Management team within the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Organization here at FCA help us to optimize vehicle production to meet the demands of our customers.  The Capacity Analyst role ensures proper supplier/program capacity is in place in advance of program changes resulting from demand driven changes (sales & marketing) and/or product plan changes. The Capacity Specialist works in partnership with production planning and other FCA SCM groups to ensure the program is buildable.
Some of the key responsibilities of the Capacity Analyst are:

- Work with the supply base and FCA Purchasing to remove barriers that are constraining or will constrain the program.

- Evaluate feasibility and supplier capacity to implement mix change proposals

- Monitor and manage program constraints in the order slotting and sequencing system (OSS)

- Synchronize with the Production Planning and Centralized Scheduling in the weekly slotting and sequencing process

- Maintain Capacity Cards for assigned program(s)

- Define all program constraints & plant restrictions

- Critical/Constrained component management

- Manage capacity sheets and risk assessment(s)

- Set up weekly meetings for short term supply issues and maintain agenda

- Establish banking programs as required

- Review Green Requisition requests and issue Green Requisitions (as justified)

- Resolve nearer term volume variances

- Collaborate with Component Supply Risk Mitigation (CSRM) in the disposition of longer term volume variances in FCA’s Capacity Database

- Conduct supplier conference calls

- Review and respond to Engineering Program Bulletins providing program and engineering management the forecasted impact to SCM, cost and timing

- Create / document processes, learning documents, job aids for Capacity Planning operational core competencies

- Release analyses

- Release compares (diamond reports)

- Development and management of strategic material buffers for programs

- Maintain familiarity with assembly plant calendars: Understand calendar, plant operating patterns and capacities/restrictions


Basic Qualifications: 

- Minimum of a completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited university in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or related degree by June 2019

- Strong interest in automotive industry

- Strong written and oral communication skill

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a team environment

- Computer proficient (including spreadsheet, word processing, presentation and database applications)

Preferred Qualifications:


- Previous internship / supply chain experience

- Strong data analysis skills

- Good interpersonal skills
