SHIFT: Days (rotating weekends)

SCHEDULE: Full-time Henrico Doctors' Hospital at Forest is a 340-bed community hospital located in Richmond, VA. Our team at Forest specializes in heart and stroke care, women's health, orthopedics and groundbreaking diagnostic imaging. We're also a national trendsetter in kidney transplants through the Virginia Transplant Center and as part of the Virginia Institute of Robotic Surgery, we lead the state in minimally-invasive procedures with da Vinci robotic-assisted surgeries.

- Performs and documents nursing care for patients within the Cath Lab/EP Scope of Care
- Administers medications utilizing all routes as ordered
- Takes call after regular hours per unit policy
- Responsible for all phases of filmless technology
- Restocks and cleans work area to promote patient safety
- Acquires and analyzes appropriate data necessary for interpretation of the study
- Actively participates in continuing education
- Serves as a liaison for the Cath Lab to promote physician, interdepartmental and intradepartmental relationships
- Utilizes equipment and performs special procedures competently as related to the Cath Lab/EP Scope of Care
- Effectively communicates verbal and written information, instruction or education to the patient, family members and other members of the health care team as appropriate
- Participates in departmental continuous quality improvement (CQI) planning and monitoring

Required: Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program

Preferred: BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of nursing


Required: Current Registered Nurse License in this state

Required: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider


Required: At least 1 year of experience in ICU/CCU or comparable Cath Lab experience

Preferred: At least 2 years of experience in ICU/CCU and Cath Lab experience

Preferred: Training in critical care nursing
