DescriptionReporting to the ECOY Program Coordinator at Temple Center for Community Partnership (TU-CCP), the Career Coach provides the supportive resources and services needed to stabilize and improve the participant’s chances of successfully transitioning to employment, vocational training or college and becoming self-sufficient. The incumbent will interpret and apply TU-CCP, PWI, WOIA and TANF rules and regulations in the performance of job duties. This staff member is responsible for the recruitment and the collaborative functions related to the programs. This is a grant funded and temporary position. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Public Health, Psychology, Education or related field with at least two years of related experience working with economically and educationally disadvantaged youth. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills & Abilities:
*Demonstrated ability to work with a young adult population facing academic and social challenges.
*Demonstrated ability to teach, motivate and relate to adult learners.
*Excellent communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with a diverse population of staff and students.
*Demonstrated organizational, problem solving, and management skills for classroom and self-supervision.
*Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint or comparable software programs.
*Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills.
*Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
*Ability to travel to off-site locations that may not be accessible via public transportation
