This position is part of Lenovo’s Strategic Technology Team that is responsible for defining and driving leading edge communications solutions across our PC & Smart Devices. It is based in our Morrisville, NC headquarters and will interact strongly with our development teams and suppliers across the globe

The Intelligent Device Group includes offerings for PCs, PC-related accessories, smart home products, smart office solutions, smart phone (Motorola), AR/VR and Lenovo-unique software. By summer of 2019, Lenovo’s IDG and Data Center Group (DCG) will have US headquarters at an updated campus on Development Drive in Morrisville, NC.
Ideal candidates will have strong technical and project management skills required to identify and manage the challenges associated with providing leading-edge wireless technology into leading-edge platforms. We are looking to add additional experience to our team to drive cellular/WAN-enabled device integration in data devices, IoT, and/or Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) devices. Experience with driving Proof of Concept or antenna technology is a plus, as is experience or understanding of cellular certification processes and requirements. Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication skills are required as you will interact with our global development and supplier base in a fast-moving and complex environment.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience including product development
- Cellular/WAN certification experience preferred
- Excellent analytic skills to follow industry and technology trends
- Ability to work across geographies, cultures and time zones
- Ability to travel as needs dictate, including internationally (< 10%)
- Must be flexible to attend evening and early morning teleconferences
