CONSUMER AND INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION (CIMD)


The Consumer and Investment Management Division includes Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), Private Wealth Management (PWM) and our Consumer business (Marcus by Goldman Sachs). We provide asset management, wealth management and banking expertise to consumers and institutions around the world. CIMD partners with various teams across the firm to help individuals and institutions navigate changing markets and take control of their financial lives.


 


CONSUMER


Consumer, externally known as Marcus by Goldman Sachs, is comprised of the firm’s digitally-led consumer businesses, which include our deposits and lending businesses, as well as our personal financial management app, Clarity Money. Consumer combines the strength and heritage of a 150-year-old financial institution with the agility and entrepreneurial spirit of a tech start-up. ROLE


 


The Brand team is seeking a talented Content Writer/Editor who has a passion for creating articles, videos, infographics and other types of content to help our customers improve their financial lives. This person will be tasked with writing and editing, as well as working with external resources to create article content to power user growth, service audiences, create awareness and help expand and strengthen our presence. They should exhibit a thoughtful approach to writing and content creation


 


Our ideal candidate will help manage the creation and execution of editorial article content across all of our digital platforms. They will also have a commitment to understanding and applying customer and performance data to optimize content, as well as the ability to manage production cycles quickly and efficiently.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
RESPONSIBILITIES


 


Will contribute to the following:


- Create content (e.g., research, write, edit and review financial editorial articles for Marcus on web, app, email and other customer experiences)

- Enforce editorial/brand guidelines with external creators

- Work closely with marketing teams to establish creative priorities, align on strategy and meet consistent deadlines

- Partner with designers to create visually appealing assets to supplement editorial work

- Consulting and governance (e.g., help prepare and execute cross-divisional content plans)

- Partner with Legal, Compliance and other senior stakeholders across multiple units across GS to ensure thorough editorial reviews

- Measurement (e.g., ongoing monitoring of analytics, creation of metrics-driven reports to ensure we’re effectively reaching our audiences and achieving meaningful engagement with them via content)

- Additional projects as they arise (e.g., support for cross-functional communications initiatives, briefing memos and presentations in advance of meetings with internal leaders or other stakeholders, etc.)


QUALIFICATIONS


- At least 2 years of experience in a media, publishing, content creation, digital marketing and/or communications role preferred, with a demonstrated ability to write and develop engaging/high performing content with speed and scale (writing/editorial examples welcome)

- Understanding, expertise and/or passion in personal finance topics such as taxes, investing, retirement, budgeting, income, benefits, debt management, etc., a plus

- Background in project managing content creation process from end to end, including the usage of external resources, agencies and/or freelancers to execute

- Must be able to take ideas from inception and carry them through delivery

- Familiarity with using various content management systems and other content creation tools (e.g., Photoshop) a plus

- Keen understanding of the ever-changing landscape of content/content marketing and channel communications, with a focus on mobile engagement

- Highest attention to detail

- Ability to maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines

- Willingness and flexibility to perform a wide variety of tasks to meet various needs

- Ability to cultivate relationships across the firm’s divisions and business lines

- Ability to work in a team environment a must
