What you’ll be doing...
Participate in defining and implementing technical direction of assigned projects.
Translate business and functional requirements to develop automation/tools capabilities and services using open source platforms that adhere to company architectural standards, design patterns, and technical specifications.
Deploy, administer and monitor systems and services in the public cloud.
Collaborate with engineering leads, support interfacing teams and maintain functional operation of assigned production systems.
Work independently as a key contributor on projects and manage escalations to resolve issues.
Help develop specification, program and documentation standard.
Perform support integration, load and user acceptance testing.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Three or more years of relevant work experience.
Even better if you have:
A degree.
Knowledge of Logging Tools such as Elastic Stack (ElasticSearch, LogStash, and Kibana) and other monitoring platforms to set up monitoring solutions and diagnose performance issues.
Two or more years of experience in infrastructure cloud services such as AWS.
Experience with platform cloud services such as Docker Swarm or Kubernetes.
Hands-on development experience in modern coding languages such as Java or C++.
Experience with configuration and orchestration tools such as Jenkins and Git as Source Control Management.
Scripting tools experience such as JavaScript, Python, Bash or similar scripting languages.
Experience with Relational and NoSQL technologies.
Knowledge of microservices such as Play/Akka or Netflix OSS.
AWS Architect / Developer / SysOps certification.
Experience with DevOps automation tools such as Ansible for AWS.
Experience with Kafka for real-time processing and Redis.
Experience with Distributed Systems / Applications and REST architecture for web services.
Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and Waterfall practices.
