Essential Job Functions:

Manage quality and test related process execution, which highly impacts the business. This includes providing feedback on artifacts developed during all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) within Kroger Technology initiatives, authoring test plans, test cases and performing test execution for both project and support related activities. Essential Job Functions: Develop, implement and maintain quality and test procedures, processes and best practices with Quality Assurance. Review and contribute to the development of artifacts according to the chosen SDLC methodology. Develop and maintain test plan and test cases with associated test data based upon functional and non-functional requirements. Conduct tests, document and analyze test results and present findings to development teams. Provide guidance for test execution to resources temporarily assigned to help in test effort. Report and document defects found during test cycles. Participate in defect prioritization sessions. Coordinate information gathering for quality metrics. Communicate timely status, including any potential risks/issues to the appropriate teams to ensure completion of all deliverables within schedule, budget and quality constraints. Identify opportunities where testing can “shift to the left” into unit and contract testing coverage. Identify opportunities where test automation can be leveraged and monitor automated script creation, execution, maintenance, and adherence to, frameworks, standards and best practices. Develop and implement innovative solutions to solve team challenges as they relate to testing against evolving software development languages and technologies. Roving employee - Duties may be located at any Kroger Co. office throughout U.S. Telecommuting from home office location is authorized for position.
Minimum Position Qualifications/Education: 

Bachelor Degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related engineering field and at least 5 years of experience in all of the following: system testing internal and customer facing applications; system testing retail grocery applications; performing system Integration and End-to-End testing; test modeling and writing test cases using HP Application Lifecycle Management (HPALM); validating relational and non-relational databases; conducting risk assessments and risk management of software applications; conducting root cause analysis of production defects; prioritizing and coordinating testing tasks and dependencies across test teams; coordinating test efforts of third party vendors and software; and operating in Waterfall and Agile software development lifecycles. Within this, at least 3 years in all of the following: developing digital testing strategies; operating in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) software development lifecycle; working with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) tools (teamcity or gitlab); system testing large scale e-commerce applications; system testing JavaScript responsive web design applications (angular or reactjs); and system testing cross-browser or mobile device.
