Position Summary
Reporting to Head of PT Communications, this role is responsible developing communications tools and strategies, to drive employee communications across a global, and widely diverse audience.  This is a global role, based in South San Francisco.
This role is responsible for working closely with the PT Public & Employee Communications team to leverage best-in-class communications tools to drive employee communications throughout PT, and also working with the PT Executive & Leadership communications team to provide communications tools, guidance, and direction to leaders in the organization.
This role is also responsible for developing, and implementing, a communications strategy for all PT-managed online channels, working closely with the Group Communications Digital team to leverage existing channels and best practices.
Key Accountabilities
In this position, you will be primarily accountable for:
Developing and implementing a PT-wide communications strategy to support PT activities with focus on implementing communications platforms, including digital tools.
Engaging with the PT Communications network to provide best practices and standardization around communications platforms
Support the development of a PT Communications content strategy and calendar
Identify current and new tools to drive key messaging throughout a global, and diverse, organization
Enhancing communications consistency throughout the global organization
Maintaining, managing, and implementing PT-managed online channels, including, but not limited to, PT intranet, Google+ communities, etc
Responsible for developing Standard Operating Procedures and driving those throughout the organization for communications platforms and channels, including e-mail, intranet, Google+, etc.
Responsible for collaborating with Group Communications to update externally-facing sites to better highlight the contribution of PT to the Roche Group global business

Example Responsibilities
In this position, key areas of responsibility include:
Strategy / planning
Create and implement a PT-wide strategy for leveraging communications tools and platforms, with a focus on PT-managed digital channels, to drive employee engagement during a time of business transformation. Work closely with Group Communications Digital strategy team to ensure alignment with wider Roche-group principles, and to leverage existing tools and channels
Enhance leadership use of PT-managed online platforms, and work directly with leaders to share best practices around communications tools
Develop SOPs and governance – drive standardization and consistency on use of communications tools throughout the PT organization, and maintain oversight of communications channels with a focus on quality improvement
Internal / external communications
Implement editorial calendar content for PT communications platforms, including online platforms
Draft, edit, and implement content for leaders throughout the organization on an as-needed basis
Content creation for senior leadership engagement (e.g., blogs, microblogging, etc.)
Manage existing PT-managed platforms, while also looking to implement new channels to reach a wider audience in a more coordinated manner
Provide support, guidance, and counsel to senior leaders on leveraging communications tools, including presenting best practices
Work with Group Communications Digital team to update and enhance PT presence on Roche external channels (including Roche.com and social media channels)
Maintain and manage a repository of key PT communications materials, including, but not limited to, videos, messaging resources, etc.
Leverage existing Roche online platforms and enhance PT-wide events (e.g., implement Global town halls, PT Leadership Conference, etc.)
Provide counsel, guidance, and standards on communications tools to the PT-wide communications community, and to PT Leaders
Create and manage approvals processes for communications platforms, including content review and oversight
