Description The Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning, reviewing, editing, improving, publishing, and maintaining content to achieve our business goals.
This includes managing all copy we create for marketing purposes, from press releases and blog posts to email campaigns and social media posts, as well as various types of downloadable content, all to expand our company's digital footprint, awareness, followers, subscribers, and most of all to generate qualified leads from content marketing channels.
The duties will also include monitoring web traffic and metrics to identify content performance and user engagement levels.
The Content Marketing Specialist is an all-in-one content marketer who is an engaged and connected communicator interacting with social media audience while being a self-starter, versatile and should be able to manage all content marketing initiatives to ensure audience engagement, brand consistency and positive user experience.
The role requires a passion for content marketing, be able to perform well under deadlines and be detail-oriented and ensure our content is on brand and adds value to potential customers.
Primary Responsibilities Collaborate with the marketing team and copywriters to plan and develop new content Proofread, improve and edit written pieces before publication Liaise with copywriters to ensure brand consistency and targeted messaging Use content management systems to publish new content Monitor and analyze online traffic and user engagement metrics Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms Understand key personas for content marketing efforts Transform research and statistics from different sources into content that delivers value to the target audience in various stages of the buyer journey Conceive new content ideas to draw the audience's attention Manage the content marketing calendar to ensure timely publication Identify potential gaps in our content marketing calendar and recommend new topics Develop style, tone and voice guidelines and ensure they are adopted and incorporated into all types of content Follow industry-related news and competitors to generate ideas around trending topics Review and update published content as needed Ensure content guidelines are adhered to Develop and manage content that attracts the target audience for various digital properties (website, email campaigns, blogs, social media, videos, press releases, etc.) Ensure that new content is timely, relevant, engaging and entices action Produce direction for videos and other forms of digital and print media Manage social media strategy and execution Proofread and edit written material promptly while ensuring content is creative and engaging Maximize our social media activities to drive brand awareness, and increase engagement Understand what content is performing and why, consistently creating, updating and retiring content Proactively monitor online content to ensure information is accurate, up to date and error-free Take the marketing personas a step further and research their interests, pain points for crafting relevant and engaging content throughout the buyer journey Carry out interviews of key industry influencers, clients, and subject matter experts to develop valuable content Ensure the content is reaching the intended audience and meeting the demand generation goals Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors or equivalent in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, or relevant field 3-5 years in a B2B company with a focus on content marketing Hands-on experience with WordPress and other content management systems Good technical knowledge of HTML Strong knowledge of web and social media metrics Solid marketing experience with social media for business (preferably in a B2B environment) Attention to detail Self-motivated, with strong communication, organizational, and time management skills Exceptional proofreading and editing skills Experience with Marketing Automation and Email Marketing platforms Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what our audience is consuming Experience in building online audiences Experience in creative writing for social media Willingness to constantly learn and develop Knowledge of value-based selling methodology Strong knowledge of modern content marketing and account-based marketing Physical Requirements Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
