JOB DESCRIPTION:We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer, to support our Global Distribution Center in Roseville, Minnesota.


In this role you will have the opportunity to:


Act as change agent to lead implementation and effectiveness of continuous improvement systems and tools in support of value stream goals and objectives.
Facilitate and coach cross functional improvement events to deliver positive and measurable results for the value stream.
Support the continuous improvement strategy in collaboration with the distribution management team. Coordinates with operations team to ensure alignment and resource support related to continuous improvement.
Work with the operations and facilities team to develop space plans and capacity models.
Develop and train continuous improvement methods such as time standards, value stream mapping, 5S, line balancing, standard work, and material flow  to internal resources within the organization.
Provide input for identification of department goals which align to strategic objectives.
Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

Key capabilities:

Leads projects and tasks with minimal complexity, clear objectives, and known outcomes. 

Plans projects and tasks at a site or project level that support the overall business strategy. Results impact site goals.

Determines approach to assigned tasks within a team.  Provides guidance/coaching to project teams.  Leads training sessions on CI methods for engineering and operations teams.

Ability to work well with and mentor others within a team.  Set expectations and lead teams to foster teamwork and accountabilty.   Ability to present options to management and persuasively advocate for proposals with all necessary backup materials.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline
0-3  years’ experience


Preferred:

1+ years’ experience with post graduate degree
Experience leading continuous improvement events

Six sigma green belt certification
Experience with problem solving such as A3/DMAIC
Med Device or regulated industry
Project management experience

SAP experience preferred
