Control & Change Management Analyst
Whippany, NJ
 
An exciting new opportunity has opened up in our Cards and Payments business where you will be part of building an in-business control function versus a central one that existed previously.  The team is supporting the Chief Control Officer in the setting, implementing and maintaining of risk appetite and risk management support level. You will provide process support and coordination of the Corporate Operations Risk and Control framework, focusing on control improvements.  
 
What you will be doing:
You will work with management supporting appropriate level of risk and compliance with regards to operational and technology risks across all Barclays Cards and Payments operations and technology
•Identify deficiencies in control practices and business processes, creating remediation plans and drive delivery of corrective actions
•Participate in the remediation of control gaps and weaknesses, which will provide subject matter expertise for control design.
•Build effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure collaboration on key shared objectives
•Perform ORAC Data Integrity checks to identify any exceptions across Cards and Payments organization
•Contribute to the medium / short term planning process to ensure that Regulatory and Mandatory Change initiatives are properly reflected and accounted for in Barclays Cards and Payments;

What we’re looking for:
•Degree qualified (or equivalent) and/or High Performance track record.
•1+ years  in a risk environment or relevant business experience required.

Skills that will help you in the role:
•Ops & Technology experience and a background of risk and operational control with potential experience in compliance that might include IRM, BCM, Payment risk, Complaints & Conduct Risk
•Understanding of the broader financial market and its impact on the business;
•Ability to develop collaborative relationships with others to help create a flexible organization;
•Problem solver with demonstrated and proven complex critical thinking skills;
•Attention to detail and results, with a high sense of urgency;
•Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) – required to all levels of staff from Senior Management downwards together with external stakeholders;
•Some understanding and experience in the Payment/Card Services industry including regulatory and audit arena with proven positive results would be a plus.
